Voltage Follower is simply a circuit in which output follows the input, means output voltage remains same as input voltage. It is also commonly known as Unity gain Opamp Amplifier or Opamp Buffer. Here we construct a voltage follower using Opamp LM741 and see how its output follows the input.

Why it is called voltage follower?

This means that the op amp does not provide any amplification to the signal. The reason it is called a voltage follower is because the output voltage directly follows the input voltage, meaning the output voltage is the same as the input voltage.
